Vietnam Textile Exports Hit US$ 10.54 Billion In Q1, Up 2.3%

Vietnam’s textile and garment exports rose to US$ 10.54 billion in Q1, marking a 2.3% year-on-year growth, according to the Vietnam News Agency.
Garments dominated the export basket with $8.84 billion, while fiber emerged as a strong performer, contributing $1.7 billion.
Cao Huu Hieu, General Director of Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group, attributed the growth in fiber exports to the industry’s increasing self-sufficiency in raw materials. This shift has enabled companies to optimize logistics costs and better comply with rules of origin, thereby leveraging tariff benefits under various free trade agreements.
Looking ahead, Vietnam aims to maintain its position among the world’s top three textile and garment exporters and achieve an export target of $49 billion by 2026.
