Page Industries Expands Manufacturing Footprint With New Odisha Unit
Page Industries, the exclusive licensee for Jockey International Inc and Speedo International Ltd in India, has inaugurated a new apparel manufacturing unit in Ramdaspur, marking a significant expansion of its production footprint in the country.
The facility, developed with an investment of Rs 750 crore, spans approximately 650,000 sq ft and houses a raw material warehouse, a men’s innerwear manufacturing unit, along with dedicated sections for socks and elastics. The investment aligns with the company’s strategy to scale up domestic manufacturing capabilities and strengthen supply chain efficiencies.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mohan Charan Majhi, who highlighted the state’s growing focus on textiles and apparel. He noted that Odisha has the potential to emerge as the Surat-Tirupur of eastern India, emphasising that such industrial investments could drive reverse migration by generating employment opportunities within the state.
State Industry Minister Sampad Chandra Swain reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting industrial growth, with a focus on job creation, MSME development, and strengthening the local supply chain ecosystem.
The developments highlight rising investor interest in Odisha’s textile and apparel sector, as companies continue to expand manufacturing capacities and explore new production hubs across India.
