AMHSSC Launches Dedicated Employment Portal For Textile And Apparel Sector

Apparel Made-Ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council (AMHSSC), operating under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and National Skill Development Corporation, has launched a sector-specific employment portal to streamline recruitment across India’s textile and apparel value chain.
The portal https://jobs.sscamh.com/ aims to bridge the gap between trained manpower availability and the workforce requirements of apparel manufacturers, export houses and home furnishing companies.
The platform allows employers to post vacancies, access candidate profiles and recruit talent without any fee or intermediary involvement.
AMHSSC said the initiative is aimed at formalising hiring practices in a sector that still relies heavily on informal recruitment channels. The portal is open to skilled and semi-skilled workers, including sewing operators, cutting and stitching professionals, quality assurance staff, supervisors and fresh trainees.
Ashish Srivastava, CEO of Apparel Made-Ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council, said the portal has been developed to create a structured and accessible employment ecosystem for both employers and workers.
“The AMHSSC Job Portal offers candidates a structured and completely cost-free platform to showcase their qualifications, sector certifications, trade skills and geographical preferences to a broad base of industry employers,” he said.
He also urged industry associations, training partners and stakeholders to support worker registrations and strengthen formal employment pathways in the textile and apparel sector.
