Grasim Industries Appoints Sangeeta Tanwani As CEO (Designate) Of Textiles Business
Grasim Industries Ltd., part of the Aditya Birla Group, has announced the appointment of Sangeeta Tanwani as Chief Executive Officer (Designate) of its Textiles Business, effective August 1, 2026, as part of a planned leadership transition within the division.
She will take over as full-time CEO from November 1, 2026, succeeding Mr. Kapil Agrawal, who will step down as Business Head of the Textiles Business on October 31, 2026. Agrawal will move to a new role within the Aditya Birla Group.
The appointment was approved by the company’s Board of Directors based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. The company disclosed the development in a regulatory filing to the BSE and NSE on June 17, 2026, in accordance with SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) regulations.
Tanwani brings over 30 years of experience across retail, FMCG, financial services and pharmaceuticals. She joined the Aditya Birla Group in 2018 and has since played a key role in transforming Pantaloons and driving the Group’s expansion into the value retail segment through initiatives such as Style Up and its evolution into OWND.
