Mafatlal Industries Commissions 4 MWp Solar PV Power Project In Gujarat

Mafatlal Industries Ltd, a leading Indian textile company, has commissioned a 4 MWp captive, ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) power project at its manufacturing facility in Nadiad, Gujarat.
Developed with an investment of approximately Rs 11 crore, the solar power plant is expected to generate around 66 lakh kWh of net usable electricity annually, meeting a portion of the manufacturing unit’s energy requirements.
The project is expected to improve cost competitiveness by reducing the company’s dependence on conventional power sources and lowering energy costs, a significant component of manufacturing expenses. It will also contribute to reducing the unit’s carbon footprint and support Mafatlal Industries’ ongoing focus on renewable energy and responsible business practices.
