Bluesign Appoints Hanane Taidi As CEO

Bluesign, the textile industry system focused on reducing environmental and chemical impacts across the value chain, has appointed Hanane Taidi as Chief Executive Officer as the organisation enters its next phase of growth.

An SGS company, Bluesign has more than 25 years of experience supporting responsible textile production through stringent safety and environmental standards. Taidi’s appointment comes as the industry faces growing demands for transparency, verified data and compliance with evolving sustainability regulations.

Taidi brings more than two decades of international experience in sustainability, public affairs and strategic communications. She most recently served as Director General of the TIC Council, the global voice of the testing, inspection and certification industry. During her tenure, she led cross-regional strategy across Europe, the United States, China and India and oversaw the integration of two major global organisations into a single international body.

She has also worked closely with regulatory institutions and has served as a European Commission expert since 2014. Her experience is expected to support Bluesign’s engagement with evolving frameworks, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).

As CEO, Taidi will focus on expanding access to verified data across manufacturing tiers, strengthening collaboration across the Bluesign System Partner network and helping brands and manufacturers translate regulatory requirements into practical solutions.

“Bluesign has built a powerful foundation rooted in science and trust. The opportunity ahead is to scale that impact, giving the industry the tools, data, and systems needed to turn responsibility into measurable progress,” said Taidi.
