ADVAIT 8.0 Draws 1,400 Retailers, Showcases 220+ Brands In Chennai

ADVAIT 8.0, the flagship apparel sourcing fair organised by Apparel Manufacturers of India (AMI), concluded successfully in Chennai, attracting nearly 1,400 retailers from across South India and more than 220 apparel brands from across the country.

Held at the RK Convention Centre, the event brought together manufacturers, retailers and multi-brand outlets (MBOs) ahead of the festive season, providing a platform for business networking, sourcing and market expansion. The fair was inaugurated by industry veterans and retail leaders, including Dr. Nally Kuppuswami Chettiar, Dr. M.S. Asif Ali, L. Raveendran, Vishal Gowda, and R. Karunanidhi along with RK Arasi.

The exhibition witnessed strong participation from apparel brands based in major textile and trading hubs such as Mumbai, Indore and Surat. Leading retailers and chains including Pothys, Roop Sangam, RMKV Silks, Naidu Hall and several regional retail groups from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Goa were among the attendees.

The event also attracted international buyers from Kuwait, Malaysia and Sri Lanka, highlighting its growing relevance as a sourcing destination for overseas markets.

Commenting on the success of the event, Dharmesh Nandu, Founder of Apparel Manufacturers of India, said the fair received an encouraging response from both brands and retailers. He noted that growing demand for affordable apparel and the approaching festive season created strong business interest, resulting in active participation and a wide display of new collections.

Since its inception in 2018, ADVAIT has evolved into a key platform connecting apparel manufacturers with verified buyers and retailers, helping brands expand their reach while enabling retailers to discover new products and sourcing opportunities.
