Tuni Textile Mills Secures Orders For 1.975 Million Metres Of Fabrics

Tuni Textile Mills has secured three domestic purchase orders for a combined 1.975 million metres of woven shirting and finished fabrics, with a total base value of Rs 295.13 million to Rs 301.73 million, excluding GST.

The orders, received in September, are scheduled for delivery over a period of 60 to 120 days. The orders cover poly-cotton shirting, fabrics with higher cotton content and other finished fabric specifications.

Northakross Syntex has placed the largest order for one million metres of finished fabric, with completion expected by January 5, 2027. Sharda Corporation has ordered 575,000 metres, while Disha Clothings has placed an order for approximately 400,000 metres of woven shirting.

The combined order volume is equivalent to around 98.75% of Tuni Textile Mills’ stated annual manufacturing capacity of two million metres. However, the company said the contracts may be fulfilled through a combination of in-house production, job work, sourcing and trading, depending on product specifications and production schedules.

Tuni has not disclosed the individual value of the three orders.

Commenting on the orders, Managing Director Narendra Kumar Sureka said they provide the company with an execution pipeline for the coming months. He said the focus would be on maintaining fabric quality, meeting customer specifications and completing deliveries within the agreed timelines.

Tuni Textile Mills operates a manufacturing facility at MIDC Murbad in Maharashtra. Its product portfolio includes polyester, cotton and blended fabrics used in shirting, suiting, uniforms and apparel. The company also undertakes trading of woven fabrics.

The new orders are expected to provide near-term sales visibility, although the revenue contribution will depend on the timing of deliveries and the product mix supplied. The company has not disclosed the margins associated with the contracts or their expected contribution to profitability.

Rights Issue
Separately, Tuni Textile Mills has approved a rights issue of up to 489.87 million shares at Rs 1 per share, through which it plans to raise up to Rs 489.87 million.

Shareholders whose names appeared on the record date of September 16, 2026, are entitled to subscribe to 15 new shares for every four shares held.

The rights issue comes as the company builds its order pipeline while retaining flexibility in how it fulfils customer requirements across manufacturing, job work, sourcing and trading.
