VDMA Textile Machinery Strengthens Ties With Uzbekistan’s Textile Industry

VDMA Textile Machinery, a leading association representing the German textile machinery industry, hosted a highly productive B2B networking event on September 1, welcoming delegates from the Uzbek textile industry and VDMA members. The event, held at VDMA’s premises in Frankfurt, served as a pivotal platform for strengthening collaboration and exploring new opportunities in the thriving textile sector.

The Uzbek textile industry has experienced remarkable growth, a fact underscored by its substantial contribution to German textile machinery exports. In 2022, German textile machinery exports to Uzbekistan surged by over 140%, reaching €83 million. This impressive figure solidified Uzbekistan’s position as the 5th most important export destination for Germany in this sector.

Janpeter Horn, Chairman of VDMA Textile Machinery, expressed enthusiasm for the burgeoning partnership, stating, “The growth in exports to Uzbekistan reflects the positive development of their textile industry. This partnership is a clear sign of our commitment to providing cutting-edge technology solutions, continuous market presence, exceptional after-sales service and comprehensive training, both in Uzbekistan and in Europe, at our members’ technical centres.”

The B2B networking event served as a springboard for deeper cooperation, fostering a sense of shared purpose in advancing the textile industry. As the partnership between VDMA Textile Machinery and the Uzbek textile industry continues to strengthen, both parties anticipate a future marked by innovation, growth and mutual success.
