Aarti Vijay Gupta & Liva Reviva Champion Sustainable Fashion At LFW FW’25

Renowned designer Aarti Vijay Gupta redefined sustainable fashion at London Fashion Week FW’25 with Kalighat Stories, a collection crafted from Liva Reviva’s eco-friendly fabrics. Merging heritage with innovation, the collection paid homage to India’s artistic traditions while embracing modern aesthetics.
Liva Reviva, made from up to 30% recycled textile waste and FSC-certified wood pulp, ensured eco-conscious luxury without compromising fluidity or versatility. The breathable fabric brought intricate artistry to life, drawing inspiration from India’s cultural heritage and reinforcing responsible fashion.
Gupta collaborated with artisans from Kolkata’s Kalighat and Patua traditions, transforming age-old storytelling into contemporary designs. Midnapore’s scroll paintings and “Patua Feet” motifs were seamlessly integrated, merging history with innovation.
The runway featured 35 menswear and womenswear looks, showcasing Liva’s fabric adaptability through flowing drapes, structured layering, and earthy hues that enhanced handcrafted prints.
Sree Charan, VP Marketing & Global Head – Brands, Birla Cellulose, Aditya Birla Group, said, “Aarti’s ability to blend traditional art with sustainable design perfectly aligns with our vision for responsible fashion.”
Gupta shared, “Bringing traditional artists to a global platform is incredibly special. Kalighat Stories reimagines Indian art using the old to create something new. Partnering with Liva Reviva provided the perfect canvas for this vision. This is the future—where heritage and sustainability unite with purpose.”
