AMA’s Bio Indigo PReR To Redefine Landscape Of Indigo Dyeing
Manufacturer of natural textile dyes, AMA Herbal has launched Bio Indigo PReR, which is a blend of innovation, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness that promises to redefine the landscape of indigo dyeing.
According to the Indian company’s press release, Bio Indigo PReR is the world’s first biochemically modified pre-reduced natural indigo in liquid form.
Developed with cutting-edge biotechnology, Bio Indigo PReR marks a transformative leap forward in the dyeing industry, offering a sustainable and eco- friendly alternative for textile manufacturers worldwide.
Indigo dyeing is conventionally associated with significant environmental impact due to its chemical synthesis process and extensive water consumption.
Bio Indigo PReR is energy-effcient as there is no hydrogenation or electrolysis, reducing energy consumption. There is also no airtight packing required, which eases logistics.
The natural indigo decreases hydrosulphite use thereby lowering landfill waste and is compatible with existing systems and so no extra machinery is needed.
There is also substantial CO2 emission reduction and landfill savings and also creates jobs for farmers, supporting rural communities.
In addition to these features, Bio Indigo PreR also holds globally recognised certifications such as GOTS VII and ZDHC 3, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability and industry-leading standards.
“In an era where sustainability is paramount, Bio Indigo PReR represents a groundbreaking innovation that aligns with environmentally responsible practices in the textile industry,” CEO Yawer Ali Shah said.
“By offering a viable alternative to conventional indigo dyeing methods, we are paving the way for a more sustainable future while preserving the rich heritage of natural indigo,” Shah added.
