Andritz starts up extra-wide carding machine in Italy
Nonwovens technology manufacturer Andritz has successfully started up a new carding machine as well as an opening and blending line it delivered to Albis in Italy.
“With its large working width of 5.10 metres, the machine allows for nonwoven fabrics production, tailored to specific requirements while maintaining excellent properties and consistent quality,” Andritz said.
Giving an example, the German company informed in a press release that one of the fabrics, Albis Curacell is a multilayer composite nonwovens fabric in a weight range between 35 and 70 gsm.
“The fabric is produced with a fully water-free patented process and is able to absorb liquid flows of over seven times its own weight,” Andritz added.
“Andritz has both the expertise and innovativeness we are looking for in a partner to realise our vision,” Albis CEO Gianni Boscolo also said.
“Our new installation will help us meet our clients’ demands and enable us to continue creating nonwoven products that set new standards in the hygiene and medical sectors,” he too added
Albis set up in 1995 offers innovative, high-quality nonwoven solutions across various sectors, including hygiene, medical, personal care, textiles, filtration, and agriculture.
