Archroma Introduces AVITERA RASPBERRY SE For Enhanced Sustainability In Dark Shades

Archroma, a global leader in specialty chemicals and sustainable solutions, has expanded its AVITERA SE Generation Next platform with the launch of AVITERA RASPBERRY SE. This innovative trichromatic red dye allows mills to achieve deep and extra-dark shades with enhanced fastness, lower processing costs and improved sustainability. The new dye was introduced as part of Archroma’s PLANET CONSCIOUS+ framework, which focuses on combining environmental and economic sustainability.
Dyeing darker shades such as red, black and navy has traditionally been more challenging and costly due to higher dye concentrations, increased water and energy consumption, and faster fading. AVITERA RASPBERRY SE addresses these issues with high-speed, low-temperature wash-off and enhanced process reliability.
Mills can reduce water and energy consumption by up to 50%, cut CO2 emissions and effluent discharge by 50%, and increase mill output by over 25%. The dye also offers excellent colour fastness, retaining vibrant shades through repeated laundering and exposure to light and chemicals, meeting the highest industry standards for durability and performance.
AVITERA RASPBERRY SE complements other deep shades in the AVITERA SE range, including BLACK PEARL SE, BLUE HORIZON SE, and NIGHT STORM SE, providing mills with a full palette of consistent and sustainable dark shades. All AVITERA SE dyes are free from arylamines, including pCA, and comply with Bluesign and ZDHC Level 3 standards.
Dhirendra Gautam, VP of Marketing at Archroma, emphasized that this launch marks a major step in enabling fashion and textile companies to produce high-quality dark shades with cost and environmental benefits. AVITERA RASPBERRY SE sets a new benchmark in sustainable dyeing, reinforcing Archroma’s leadership in the textile industry.
