Arvind Fashions Appoints Amitabh Suri As CEO Of Flying Machine

Arvind Fashions Limited has named Amitabh Suri as CEO of Flying Machine, in addition to his current role leading U.S. Polo Assn. in India. The move follows the exit of Nidhi Raj, who led Flying Machine from November 2021 until February 2025.

The leadership consolidation comes as the Lalbhai Group company sharpens execution across its core apparel brands amid shifting consumer behavior. Flying Machine, positioned as India’s original homegrown denim label, continues to target millennials and Gen Z with contemporary, denim-led fashion.

Suri brings over 25 years of experience in fashion and lifestyle retail across brand building, omni-channel strategy, supply chain, and retail operations. Under his leadership, U.S. Polo Assn. has become one of India’s largest casualwear brands with revenues topping Rs 1,800 crore across menswear, womenswear, kidswear, footwear, and innerwear.

Prior to Arvind Fashions, Suri spent 18 years with Indian Terrain, contributing to its journey from an early-stage business to a listed entity, while driving a wholesale-to-retail transformation. He later served as CEO of Iconic at Dubai-based Landmark Group, overseeing 38 stores across the Middle East with revenues of AED 300 million, and held the role of President – Exclusive Brands & Private Labels at Shoppers Stop, managing a portfolio of in-house and exclusive international brands with turnover of Rs 800 crore.

With Suri now steering both Flying Machine and U.S. Polo Assn., Arvind Fashions aims to drive unified strategy, operational discipline, and stronger brand execution in a competitive market.
