Bangla Q1FY’24 Home Textile Exports Dive By 46.39%
In the first three months of fiscal 2024, exports of home textiles from Bangladesh dived massively by 46.39 percent over the same quarter of previous fiscal to US $189.5 million.
Bangladeshi home textile exports were on the ascent since fiscal 2021, when they grew to $1.13 billion and further to $1.62 billion in fiscal 2022.
But they slipped to $1.09 billion in fiscal 2023; due to effect of the Russia-Ukraine war and tightening of purses by consumers due to high inflation in their main export markets of the US and EU.
