BGMEA Partners On Creating Circular Textile Economy
The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and the Circle Economy are collaborating to help Bangladesh’s textile and garment sector’s transition towards a circular economy.
The partnership will result in better coordination for sharing expertise, disseminating knowledge and sharing expertise, which will be benefit BGMEA members and help them implement circular strategy.
“The collaboration will be within the context of SWITCH2CE project, specifically to create and share knowledge of the capacity building program,” UNB stated.
Bangladesh has a huge access to pre-consumer waste of fabrics, since it is the second biggest garment exporter in the world and this waste can be utilised to create a circular textile economy.
