Bloomtex Starts Textile Unit In J&K At Investment Of Rs 120cr

Bloomtex Industries has started operations of a textile unit in Kathua district in Jammu & Kashmir at an investment of Rs 120 crore, which will create employment for 350 people.

The company has acquired 25 acres of land on lease at Bhagthali Industrial Estate in Kathua and has started the first phase of the project.

Bloomtex has plans to invest a total of around Rs 550 crore in three phases of which construction of second phase will start from April 2024 and is slated for completion in June 2025.

“The third phase will be of approximately Rs 300 crores, which will be implemented in fiscal 2026-27 before the Central Industrial Policy expires,” Bloomtex Director Mujesh Tyagi said.

Mukesh Tyagi further added that once the three phases will be fully operational , employment will be created for around 1,000 people.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended the inaugural ceremony of the industrial unit along with Industries Commissioner Vikramjit Singh.
