Buyer Numbers Exceed Expectations At MAG Solvics ITMA Stall
The number of buyers exceeded expectations at ITMA 2023, for India headquartered MAG Solvics, which manufactures testing instruments for the entire textile value chain. And although global textile markets are not so supportive, the company is happy with its participation at the exhibition.
“We had an excellent number of buyers visiting our stall and they came from all the major textile hubs including India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Mexico, Peru, Colombia and many other countries,” Mr Dhandayuthapani, Director, MAG Solvics told Textile Insights in an exclusive interview.
MAG Solvics was established in 1991 and is a multi-product company that provides total testing and online monitoring solutions for all segments of textile industry beginning from ginning, spinning, weaving, knitting, processing to garments.
MAG Solvics displayed four of its important products at ITMA. The first is a fully automatic Tensile Strength Tester also called a RKM tester. The second is again a fully automatic Raw Cotton Testing Instrument. The third is a Yarn Evenness Tester and the last is an Online Spindle Monitoring System.
According to Mr Dhandayuthapani, normally Online Spindle Monitoring Systems are based on electro-magnetic force, but in the exhibition, they are showing a system based on the Optical method. The Optical method is more advantageous for an operator during piecing, as operators have more space during piecing and it will helpful for auto piecing also.
The fully automatic Cotton Testing Instrument (HVT Genius 2), which was launched recently, is a Robotic model and is shaped like a tower. The instrument tests raw cotton on all required properties like length, strength, micronaire, maturity, colour, moisture, thrash, etc.
“More cotton samples can be tested per hour which is nearly double than the existing one or against instruments currently available in the market. Since the instrument is equipped with a booster and reservoir, the instrument will not stop if there is any drop in pressure during testing. Lastly there will be no error caused due to operators,” he said.
In post spinning operations, presence of weak places in the yarn lead to more breaks and drop in efficiency. “This is the reason; weaving sector started testing the yarn for RKM, single yarn strength and elongation of yarn. Our fully automatic single yarn strength tester (TensoMaster) will help customers to check single yarn as well as presence of weak places in the yarn,” he informed.
The Evenness tester with an auto cop changer can test all properties of yarn including U%, CV%, Thin, Thick, Neps & Hairiness and can test any kind of materials and at any process stage.
