China’s Home Textile Exports Slip Slightly In First 10 Months
Chinese home textile exports totaled US $27.33 billion in the period between January and October 2023, down by just 0.5 percent from a year ago period.
“Home textile exports in October were $2.81 billion, down from $3.30 billion in September. Exports had grown in August and September, but once again slipped in October,” data from China Customs informed.
Among various home textile exports, carpet exports reached $3.32 billion, growing by 4.4 percent year over year, while kitchen supplies amounted to $2.43 billion, an increase of 9 percent.
In the period under review, other products like bedding dropped 1.8 percent to $11.57 billion and towel exports also declined 7.9 percent at $1.84 billion, both falling from a year ago period.
