China’s Technical Textile & Nonwoven Output Declines 3.4%
Between January and November, technical textile and nonwoven production of Chinese companies above designated size fell 3.4 percent year-on-year, a decline which is narrowing since the third quarter.
However, overseas demand has tended to be still weak, putting exports from the industry under greater pressure.
“However the production growth of cord fabrics continued unabated, with output increasing by 8 percent over a year ago period,” data from the National Bureau of Statistics informed.
In the period under review, the operating income fell 5.8 percent and total profits dropped 25.5 percent year over year of enterprises above designated size in the technical textile and nonwovens industry.
China’s technical textiles and nonwovens industry has remained stable, and major economic indicators have improved to varying degrees since the third quarter of 2023.
