Chinese Company Opts For Oerlikon’s Polycondensation System

To increase its production capacity, recycled polyester yarn manufacturer FixDye has opted for polycondensation system manufacturer Oerlikon Barmag Huitong Engineering (OBHE).

“Oerlikon Barmag Huitong Engineering’s polycondensation systems stand for the best downstream performance and a reduced environmental footprint,” Oerlikon Barmag said in a press release.

The Chinese company is expanding its production capacities in melt preparation, the upstream production stage the spinning mill.

“This will not only allow FixDye to better influence yarn quality, but also to keep an eye on the supply chain of its products, regardless of external influences,” the Chinese subsidiary of the German company added.

The plant with a capacity of 3×180 tons per day of recycled bottle flakes for producing textile filament yarn is a clear commitment to the sustainable textile industry.

From mid-2025, it will mainly produce FDY and POY or DTY for the European and US markets. The yarns produced are spun-dyed using the zero water dyeing method.

Certified by numerous recognised institutes such as GRS, BSCI and OEKO-TEX, the Chinese company produces everything from recycled melts to textile surfaces.

“In the medium term, FixDye also wants to offer materials produced using the textile-2-textile recycling process,” Ivan Ye, CMO of FixDye said.

“Confidence in the reliability of the highly efficient systems and the sustainable, energy-saving concept were the decisive aspects in choosing polycondensation system from OBHE,” GM Kevin Wang added.
