Chinese PSF Exports Expand 21.2% Between Jan & Sept 2023

Chinese polyester staple fibre (PSF) exports expanded 21.2 percent over a year ago period to 904.4 kilo tons in the first nine months of the current year.

Between January and September 2023, overseas shipment of PSF to Vietnam totaled 157,715 kilo tons, up by a massive 40.74 percent year on year and was China’s biggest PSF export market.

PSF exports to Pakistan in the reporting period amounted to 93,601 kilo tons growing by 23.8 percent year over and its share in Chinese PSF exports was 10.3 percent.

Exports to Turkey surged 103 percent over the comparable months of 2022 to 58,612 kilo tons in the period under review, while the country accounted for 6.5 percent of overall PSF exports.

However, those to India witnessed a decline of 3.71 percent from 27,641 kilo tons in the January to September period as against 28,706 kilo tons from a year ago period.
