CII Again Recognises NITRA Among Top Five Innovative Institutes
Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), the biggest Indian trade body has recognised Northern India Textile Research Association (NITRA), as one of the top five innovative institutes in India for 2023.
Last year too, NITRA was recognised by CII as one of the topmost innovative institutes.
Innovation is imbibed in the NITRA culture and the institute has done and is continually doing lot of R&D and innovations in the field of textiles technical textiles, natural fibres and sustainability.
Almost all its developments and innovations have been commercialised and benefits have been passed on to the Indian textile and apparel industry.
NITRA’s prime activities include research and development, technical consultancy, quality evaluation of materials, manpower training, third party inspection and publishing technical books and papers.
NITRA also provides facilitating services to the decentralised powerloom sector through its eight centres located in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Ludhiana, Punjab and Rajasthan.
