Becquer Powers D’décor Home Fabrics With Rooftop And Façade Solar Integration

Becquer has enhanced its manufacturing capabilities to integrate solar cells with various building materials, expanding their use across different types of buildings, factories, and superstructures.

Over the past few years, Becquer has installed integrated solar hardware at multiple D’décor Home Fabrics factories—one of the world’s largest manufacturers of curtain and upholstery fabrics with a presence in over 60 countries. The latest milestone includes commissioning India’s first and largest solar industrial façade to power a major home textile brand, complementing the existing rooftop solar panels. This integration not only boosts solar electricity generation but also reduces indoor temperatures, lowering air conditioning costs.

Becquer is advancing Heterojunction (HJT) technology with a peak core cell efficiency of 26.3%. The modular efficiency varies based on the module packing design, and Becquer is building infrastructure upstream and downstream to deliver the lowest-cost solar hardware globally. The façade installation utilized existing factory shed pillars, with concealed cabling to maintain aesthetics.

Becquer’s solar hardware is also being adopted by major industrial sectors in India, including automobiles, steel, cement, engineering, food, and FMCG for captive power and sustainability goals. The company has developed a specialized cladding technique for data centers, maximizing power generation while reducing material costs and operating temperatures.

For residential use, Becquer has demonstrated “zero-grid-bill” possibilities in Maharashtra, where consumers rely entirely on solar power for daily needs, paying only a basic grid connection charge.

With India’s transition to green energy accelerating, Becquer’s advanced manufacturing technology and integrated design capabilities position it at the forefront of the sustainable energy shift.
