Circulose Joins CanopyStyle And Pack4Good To Drive Sustainable Innovation

Circulose has joined CanopyStyle and Pack4Good, two key sustainability initiatives led by Canopy that aim to protect climate-critical forests and global biodiversity within the textile sector.

As part of CanopyStyle, Circulose is helping brands transition from virgin raw materials to its Next Gen alternative, a sustainable fibre made entirely from 100% discarded textiles. This move aligns with the industry’s growing demand for man-made cellulosic fibres (MMCF) and paper packaging, both of which have significantly contributed to deforestation.

Currently, over 3.4 billion trees are felled each year for textile production and paper packaging, making forest conservation a crucial strategy to combat climate change, preserve biodiversity, and safeguard natural ecosystems.

Dr Anna Sammarco, Circulose’s Senior Director of Circular Business Development & Strategy, emphasized the need for bold action, stating: “Everyone has a role to play, and collaboration is key — but bold action is essential to protect natural ecosystems. A big thank you to Canopy for inspiring action and being such a strong advocate for our planet! Together, we are making a difference with Circulose, a proven product that replaces virgin materials at scale. Available globally, this validated material delivers the same look and feel, transforming yesterday’s textile waste into tomorrow’s fashion.”

Welcoming these new partners, Nicole Rycroft, Executive Director of Canopy stated, “We’re thrilled to welcome these fashion brands and innovators into the CanopyStyle and Pack4Good initiatives. Their commitment to working alongside their peers to transform supply chains and embrace circular alternatives is a vital step forward in our collective effort to keep forests standing, species thriving and carbon safely stored.”
