CMAI & SU.RE To Host ECO-STITCH Sustainability Conclave In Mumbai On April 3

Clothing Manufacturers Association of India and Sustainable Resolution are set to host the inaugural ECO-STITCH Sustainability Conclave on April 3, 2026, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. The by-invitation event will be co-located with the 6th FAB Show 2026 and supported by Global Alliance for Textile Sustainability Council, Brands & Sourcing Leaders Association and United Nations Industrial Development Organization.

The conclave aims to position sustainability as the foundation of textile and apparel manufacturing, bringing together over 150 stakeholders, including brands, manufacturers, exporters, policymakers and innovators. The platform will focus on enabling actionable change through high-level discussions, technical sessions and collaborative dialogue across the value chain.

Key sessions will address EU market readiness, adoption challenges for Indian brands, green finance, social inclusion and UN-led initiatives for sustainable clusters. A CEO panel will also explore how sustainability can transition from compliance to a core business strategy.

According to Santosh Katariya, the initiative seeks to create a long-term industry platform for practical solutions and collaboration, enabling faster adoption of circular and responsible practices. Naveen Sainani added that the conclave is designed to move beyond dialogue and drive measurable progress through stakeholder alignment and real-world implementation.

A key feature of the event will be its 3R framework – Reuse, Repurpose and Recycle, demonstrated through experiential zones showcasing sustainable sourcing, upcycled collections and waste-to-wardrobe supply chains.

The conclave will also highlight the role of technology through an Automation and AI Showcase, focusing on digital tools and advanced manufacturing solutions that enhance efficiency and sustainability in product development.

Another major highlight will be the launch of the CMAI SU.RE Sustainability Awards, recognizing achievements in circularity, responsible manufacturing and innovation across the fashion ecosystem. The jury includes industry leaders such as Naresh Tyagi, Sunjay Rastogi, Darshana Gajare, Parvinder Singh and Rahul Mehta.

A Grand Sustainable Fashion Showcase featuring 12 curated sequences will further spotlight AI-led design, Indian crafts and sustainable fabrics, with participation from leading institutes including National Institute of Fashion Technology and other design schools.

Sustainability will also be a central theme across the FAB Show 2026, with a dedicated pavilion showcasing innovations in eco-friendly materials, certifications and responsible production processes, reinforcing the industry’s transition towards a more sustainable and future-ready ecosystem.
