CMAI’s FAB Show 2026 Sees Strong Buyer Turnout

The sixth edition of the Fabrics, Accessories & Beyond (FAB) Show, organised by Clothing Manufacturers Association of India, concluded on a strong note at Bombay Exhibition Centre, reinforcing its position as a key B2B sourcing platform for the apparel industry.

Held from April 2–4, the show recorded over 14,000 trade visitors, including international buyers, and generated an estimated business of Rs 2,600 crore, the highest so far. The event featured around 240 exhibitors and drew buyers from more than 350 cities across India, along with overseas participation from markets such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the US, UK, UAE and Australia, underlining India’s growing global sourcing relevance.

The visitor base included garment manufacturers, exporters, sourcing heads, retailers, e-commerce players and distributors, with representatives from leading companies such as Aditya Birla Group and Raymond Group in attendance.

According to Santosh Katariya, the strong response reflects growing industry confidence and highlights the sector’s readiness to adopt innovation and sustainable practices. Rahul Mehta noted that domestic demand continues to be driven by rising incomes, increasing fashion awareness and expanding consumption beyond metro markets, particularly in Tier II and III cities.

Sustainability remained a key focus, with a dedicated pavilion showcasing eco-friendly materials, certifications and responsible production practices. The event also highlighted growing adoption of technology, with artificial intelligence solutions presented across design, manufacturing and retail functions, alongside the “Future Factory/Green Factories” concept led by Magus Fashion City.

Spanning nearly 2 lakh sq. ft., the exhibition showcased a wide range of fabrics, trims, accessories and services, with strong participation from major textile hubs including Surat, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, Tiruppur and Bengaluru. A new International Pavilion further enhanced global engagement.

With robust participation, focused business networking and a clear emphasis on sustainability and innovation, FAB Show 2026 underscored positive sourcing sentiment and continued momentum in India’s textile and apparel sector.
