Color World Expo 2025 Debuts In Surat With Strong Industry Response

The inaugural edition of Color World Expo 2025, a first-of-its-kind exhibition dedicated exclusively to the textile processing sector, concluded on a high note at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre. Held from May 3–5, 2025, the three-day event brought together leading stakeholders from the dyes, textile chemicals, specialty chemicals, textile dye intermediates, auxiliaries, pigments, silicones, and allied segments.

Shalini Agarwal IAS, Municipal Commissioner of Surat Municipal Corporation & Chairman of Surat Urban Development Authority inaugurated Color World Expo 2025, along with Jitendra Vakharia, President of South Gujarat Textile Processors Association & Chairman of Narayan Processors and Dr. Jignasa Oza, Lab Head & Regional Office, Gujarat Pollution Control Board.
The expo was formally inaugurated by Shalini Agarwal, IAS, Municipal Commissioner of Surat Municipal Corporation and Chairman of Surat Urban Development Authority, who graced the event as the Chief Guest. Joining her at the inauguration were Jitendra Vakharia, President of South Gujarat Textile Processors Association & Chairman of Narayana Processors, and Dr. Jignasa Oza, Lab Head & Regional Officer, Gujarat Pollution Control Board, further highlighting the industry-wide and regulatory support for the event.
This landmark event marked the first dedicated dyes and chemicals exhibition ever hosted in the Surat textile cluster, a renowned textile manufacturing region. With over 50 exhibitors showcasing their innovations and solutions, and a footfall exceeding 3,000 trade visitors, Color World Expo 2025 set a strong precedent for future industry-focused events in the region.
The response from both exhibitors and visitors was overwhelmingly positive, with many exhibitors expressing satisfaction with the quality of interactions and business leads generated. Attendees hailed from across the country, including key textile hubs such as Surat, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pali, Balotra, Delhi and Kolkata with notable international participation from Bangladesh as well.
In addition to the exhibition, Color World Expo 2025 hosted a concurrent Knowledge Session, conducted in partnership with Hohenstein, the event’s official knowledge partner. The conference, themed ‘Towards Safer, Sustainable and Compliant Chemicals & Dyes in Textiles,’ was held on all three days and drew significant interest from industry professionals, offering a platform for in-depth discussions on sustainability, innovation and regulatory compliance in the chemicals and dyes sector. The knowledge sessions were powered by Apna Organics Pvt. Ltd.
Adding to the unique experience was a dedicated podcast studio, powered by Buzzhub, that brought together conversations and exhibitor interviews. The initiative was lauded by participants for its innovative format and offering a new dimension to industry exhibitions.

The event was organised by Textile Insights publication and also received endorsements from various industry associations.
Building on the success and enthusiasm of this first edition, the organizers have announced that Color World Expo will return to Surat in 2027, with dates to be confirmed in due course.
