Danfoss IXA Appoints Peter Friedrich Gschwend As Managing Director
Danfoss IXA has announced the appointment of Peter Friedrich Gschwend as its new Managing Director, effective September 1, 2025.
Gschwend brings over 18 years of leadership experience with Danfoss Drives, along with deep expertise in the maritime sector, positioning him well to lead Danfoss IXA into its next phase of growth.
Commenting on his appointment, Gschwend said that Danfoss IXA will focus on profitable growth while strengthening its support to the maritime industry through advanced continuous emission monitoring technologies. He highlighted the company’s new analyser capable of real-time measurement of high ammonia concentrations in ammonia-ready engines, addressing the industry’s transition towards alternative fuels.
“In an industry rapidly evolving towards greener fuels, there is increasing demand for innovative technologies that support this transition. Danfoss IXA is uniquely positioned to meet these needs,” Gschwend said.
He added that Danfoss IXA’s advanced technology portfolio will continue to play a key role in helping the maritime sector achieve global sustainability goals while navigating increasing regulatory requirements.
