Daniel Ervér Appointed President And CEO Of H&M Group

The board of directors at Hennes & Mauritz AB has appointed Daniel Ervér as the new President and CEO of the H&M Group. This decision follows the departure of Helena Helmersson, who has gracefully stepped down from her role as CEO.

Daniel Ervér, born in 1981, brings a wealth of experience to the position, having dedicated 18 years of his career to the H&M Group, holding various roles across different facets of the company. His most recent role as the head of H&M, the group’s largest brand, has prepared him well for this leadership transition. Daniel assumes the role of CEO while maintaining operational responsibility for H&M, making him a pivotal force in steering the brand’s continued success.

Karl-Johan Persson, Chair of the H&M Group, expressed gratitude to Helena Helmersson for her outstanding contributions during a challenging period marked by the pandemic, geopolitical shifts and macro-economic uncertainties. The H&M Group stands in a robust position, with a positive profitability trend, poised for further advancements in 2024.

“I am honored and thrilled by the board’s confidence in me. With the support of our dedicated colleagues, we will persist in creating unparalleled value for our customers and fostering profitable growth. Our unwavering focus remains on providing the best combination of fashion, quality, price and sustainability in a compelling shopping environment,” stated Daniel Ervér on his appointment as the CEO of H&M Group.
