DKTE’s Textile Institute Hosts Textvision And Fashionova 2k24 With 200 Participants
DKTE’s Textile and Engineering Institute, Textile Association India, Ichalkaranji, Miraj unit, and TAIMU Student’s Chapter jointly organized the mega international event ‘Textvision And Fashionova 2k24’ on 2 April 2024. The event comprised four sub-events: Paper Presentation, Startex 5.0, Design Collection and Presentation, and Eye On Pick Glass. Approximately 200 students from various colleges across the country participated, embracing the theme “Transforming Lifestyle with ‘Work-Fit’ Attire & Neo Stretch: ‘Freedom to Move’.
The chief guest for the occasion was Anand Patil, President of Donear Industries Ltd, and an alumnus of the institute. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a welcome speech by I/C Director, Prof. Dr. L.S. Admuthe. R. Sampath, President of TAIMU, elaborated on the association’s activities, while Secretary, Dr. Sapna Awade, highlighted the mission of the DKTE Education Society to provide quality education. Dr. Awade also highlighted DKTE’s strong connections with alumni holding prestigious positions worldwide.
Chief guest Anand Patil imparted valuable advice to students, emphasizing moral values such as passion, pride, commitment, challenge, teamwork, transparency and fearlessness. Darshan Khatod, President of TAIMU’s student chapter, provided insights into the Textvision and Fashionova event. Dr. U.J. Patil, Deputy Director and HOD Textiles, extended a vote of thanks and concluded the programme.
In attendance were Prof. Dr. S.S. Lavate, Secretary of TAIMU, V.A. Satpute, Honorary Treasurer, all course coordinators from various departments, faculty members and students. The coordination of the programme was overseen by Prof. Dr. V.K. Dhange, Course Coordinator of Fashion Technology and Prof. R.H. Deshpande, Student Chapter Coordinator. Donear Industries Ltd served as the lead sponsor for the event.
