Dr. S.N. Modani Honoured With Global Textile Leadership Award At ATEXCON 2026
Dr S. N. Modani, Chairman of the Rajasthan Textile Mills Association (RTMA) and Vice Chairman of Sangam (India) Ltd, has been conferred with the Global Textile Leadership Lifetime Achievement Award 2026 at the 13th Asian Textile Conference (ATEXCON 2026).
The award ceremony was held on April 2, 2026, at Novotel Convention Centre, in the presence of Anumula Revanth Reddy. The honour was presented by Telangana ministers T. Nageswara Rao and D. Sridhar Babu, along with Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao.
The award, presented by the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry, recognises Dr. Modani’s longstanding contributions to the growth, innovation and transformation of India’s textile sector. In his leadership roles, he has played a key part in strengthening the textile ecosystem and enhancing the global positioning of Indian textiles.
During the conference, Dr. Modani also participated in a panel discussion titled “The Old Playbook Is Broken: Re-imagining Global Textiles in a Volatile World,” addressing the need for new strategies in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
Organised by CITI in collaboration with the Government of Telangana, ATEXCON 2026 brought together industry leaders and stakeholders from across the global textile and apparel value chain to discuss innovation, sustainability and future-ready growth strategies.
