Durst Group Expands Presence In Scandinavia With Launch Of Durst Nordic AB

Durst Group, a global leader in digital printing and production technologies, has strengthened its strategic footprint in Scandinavia with the establishment of Durst Nordic AB. This move marks both a heartfelt farewell and a forward-looking transition as the company concludes its decades-long partnership with distributor Hans Molander, who is retiring after more than 60 years of collaboration.

Molander and his family company have been instrumental in developing Durst’s presence in the Nordic region. In 2009, Durst Group became a shareholder in Molanders Sign & Display, and with the recent full acquisition, the company has now been rebranded as Durst Nordic AB.

“Hans Molander’s passion, entrepreneurial foresight and loyalty have significantly shaped Durst’s journey in the Nordics,” said Christoph Gamper, CEO and co-owner of Durst Group. “On behalf of the entire Durst family, I extend my heartfelt thanks. As a symbol of our appreciation, Hans received a Tyrolean eagle – representing strength, vision and origin.”

Mattias Hersby Appointed as Managing Director
As part of this transition, Mattias Hersby has been appointed Managing Director of Durst Nordic AB. Hersby brings extensive international management experience, most recently serving as Director of Business Development & Operations at Schibsted in Stockholm from 2019 to 2024. He has also held leadership roles in major advertising and media firms across Sweden, Germany, UK, and Australia.

Known for his analytical leadership, strategic focus and team development skills, Hersby is expected to lead Durst’s expansion efforts across Northern Europe.

“With the formation of Durst Nordic AB, we are taking full ownership of the Nordic market and setting the stage for sustained growth,” said Gamper. “I’m excited to work alongside Mattias and our talented regional team as we continue to strengthen our presence in this key market.”
