Energy Efficiency And Automation Are Key Priorities For Textile Manufacturers: Regina Brückner

Automation is crucial as you want to reduce the number of people needed on the factory floor, says Regina Brückner

At ITMA Asia + CITME 2025, Brückner Trockentechnik GmbH & Co. KG is drawing strong attention with its latest generation of finishing technologies focused on efficiency, digitalization and ease of use.

Speaking at the show, Regina Brückner, owner and CEO of Brückner, stated that the company is showcasing “a new stenter model for classical textiles with cotton and some Lycra content, featuring easy maintenance and handling.” Alongside this, Brückner is also exhibiting its centralizing lines for workwear and woven fabrics, as well as enhanced software solutions designed to optimize energy use and machine performance.

Among the highlights is the new PowerFrame SFP2 tensor, developed to address the needs of the classical apparel sector. “It’s a machine for classical apparel textiles such as cotton-Lycra or cotton-polyester blends,” Brückner explained. “It has a more standardized design to allow faster shipping and setup, along with improved technical specifications.”

A major focus this year is digitalization. Brückner’s AI-driven system, ExperTex, is capturing significant interest from visitors. “ExperTex is based on the experiences of our customers using different types of machines,” said Brückner. “It allows users to increase capacity, improve performance and reduce energy usage. It can even calculate the CO₂ footprint of fabrics and provide a pre-calculation of finishing costs for new materials.”

Discussing industry trends, Brückner noted that energy efficiency and automation are now key priorities for textile manufacturers. “One trend is definitely how much energy you use per kilogramme of textiles,” she said. “Automation is also crucial; you want to reduce the number of people needed on the factory floor. Easier cleaning and automatic unwinding and winding make our machines more autonomous.”

Reflecting on the show’s success, Brückner said, “We are really happy about the response to the fair and to our booth. We’ve had a lot of visitors from all over the world – India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, South America and Germany.”

As for what’s next, Brückner hinted that new developments are already in progress, “Of course, we are working on things that we will show in two years’ time at ITMA 2027, but let’s keep some surprises.”
