Epson Launches Monna Lisa ML-18000 Textile Printer With 90% Water Savings

Epson has unveiled its latest innovation in textile printing, the Monna Lisa ML-18000, an industrial printer that combines high productivity with significant environmental benefits. The new model, available from autumn 2025, is designed to reduce water consumption by up to 90 per cent, while delivering premium-quality prints at industrial scale.
The ML-18000 features a built-in water recycling unit that filters and reuses water from the belt-cleaning process. Equipped with an advanced sensor system, the unit continuously monitors water quality, ensuring compliance with local wastewater regulations while maximising efficiency.
Powered by 18 Epson PrecisionCore Micro TFP printheads, the Monna Lisa ML-18000 achieves print speeds of up to 450 m² per hour, enabling rapid production without compromising print quality. Epson’s Precision Dot technology further ensures smooth gradations, reduced banding, and accurate colour reproduction even at high speeds.
A key highlight is the printer’s Double Black Ink Technology, which delivers richer, denser blacks—particularly valued in high-end fashion and interior applications. In addition, Epson’s GESTA reactive inks, certified by ECO PASSPORT and approved by GOTS (ECOCERT), guarantee environmentally friendly textile printing free from harmful substances.
Designed for reliability and ease of use, the ML-18000 integrates high-capacity ink cartridges, automated cleaning systems, and remote monitoring via the Epson Cloud Solution PORT, helping businesses streamline operations and minimise downtime.
“With the Monna Lisa ML-18000, Epson sets a new benchmark in textile printing by combining efficiency, sustainability and uncompromising quality,” said Achim Bukmakowski, Head of Commercial & Industrial Printing DACH & CEE. “Thanks to its integrated water recycling system, the printer significantly reduces water usage while supporting high-speed, resource-saving textile production. This is a strong step forward in sustainable innovation for the industry.”
The Monna Lisa ML-18000 supports a print width of up to 185 cm and resolutions of up to 1,200 dpi, making it suitable for a wide range of textile applications—from haute couture to home interiors.
