Ethiopian Investment Commission Holds Talks With Indian Business Delegation

The Ethiopian Investment Commission recently engaged in a productive discussion with a prominent Indian business delegation spearheaded by the President of the Indian Economic Trade Organization, Dr Asif Iqbal. The 18-member delegation, representing diverse sectors, expressed keen interest in investing across various domains, including manufacturing (pharmaceuticals, textiles, apparel and chemicals), agriculture, agro-processing, ICT, healthcare and more.

In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Temesgen Tilahun of the Ethiopian Investment Commission assured the Indian delegation of the Commission’s unwavering support. Tilahun elaborated on Ethiopia’s investment policies, highlighted priority sectors and outlined the attractive incentives in place to encourage investments in the country.This collaborative exchange signifies a positive step towards fostering international investment, emphasizing the potential for mutually beneficial economic partnerships between Ethiopia and India. As both parties explore opportunities, the discussion sets the stage for enhanced cooperation and growth in various key sectors.
