Georg Stausberg Takes Over As CEO Of The Rieter Group With Immediate Effect
The Board of Directors of Rieter Ltd. received additional demands from designated CEO Daniel Lippuner regarding his compensation package, particularly his bonus. Due to irreconcilable differences, Lippuner will not assume the position.
Georg Stausberg, CEO of Barmag, will assume the position of CEO of the Rieter Group with effect from November 4, 2026. Stausberg has more than three decades of experience in the international textile machinery industry and has shaped Barmag’s development through various leadership roles.
Under his leadership as CEO, Barmag consolidated its position as the world’s leading supplier in the man-made fibre sector. Following Rieter’s acquisition of Barmag in February 2026, Stausberg became a member of the Rieter Group’s Executive Committee.
With his extensive industry expertise and international network, Stausberg is one of the most prominent leaders in the global textile machinery industry.
