Goldwin Play Earth Fund Backs Ambercycle For Circular Textiles In Japan

Goldwin Play Earth Fund (GW-PEF), co-managed by Goldwin Venture Partners Inc. and Ignition Point Venture Partners Inc., has announced a strategic investment in Ambercycle, Inc., a Los Angeles-based material innovation company driving circular systems for the fashion industry.
The partnership marks a milestone for Ambercycle, as its flagship material cycora — a regenerated polyester made entirely from textile waste — enters Japan’s highly technical and quality-driven textile market for the first time.
“Bringing cycora to Japan offers a great opportunity to reach a market known for precision and innovation,” said Shay Sethi, co-founder and CEO of Ambercycle. “Together with Goldwin, we’re proving that circularity is not the future—it’s the standard we’re building today.”
As a limited partner of GW-PEF, Goldwin Inc. will collaborate with Ambercycle to integrate cycora into its product lines. A small capsule will debut in Goldwin’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, followed by a full-scale launch in Fall/Winter 2027.
