H&M Enters Brazil With First Store And E-Commerce Launch

Swedish fashion giant H&M has officially entered the Brazilian market, opening its first store at Shopping Iguatemi in São Paulo, while simultaneously launching its online platform, hm.com.br. It is the first time the retailer has debuted both physical and digital operations in a new market on the same day.

“Launching our first store and online on the same day is a historic moment for H&M, and I’m so excited we have finally arrived,” said Daniel Erver, CEO of H&M Group. “We’re here to celebrate creativity and self-expression, offering fashion and quality at the best price in a sustainable way to our customers in Brazil.”

The launch was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Karl-Johan Persson, Chairman of H&M, alongside Erver, Joaquim Pereira, Country Manager of H&M Brazil, and Renata Grima, Store Manager of H&M Iguatemi.

“The enthusiasm and warm welcome from Brazilian customers has been truly inspiring,” Pereira said. Grima added: “Opening the doors of our Iguatemi store today was a dream come true. Seeing the excitement on our customers’ faces was unforgettable.”

With Brazil’s entry, H&M now operates in 79 markets with physical stores and offers online sales in 61 markets.
