Honouring Excellence With ITAMMA Awards 2023/24

The Indian Textile Accessories & Machinery Manufacturers Association (ITAMMA) Award function was held on February 1, 2025, at i-Hub Gujarat, Ahmedabad. The award function witnessed key industry figures discussing the future of the textile sector.

Super Tex Industries, Mumbai, honored with the Special Award for Micro & Small Enterprises, Dipak Baraiya, Sr. Sales Executive, receives the prestigious recognition.

Lakshmi Ring Travellers (Coimbatore) Pvt. Ltd. wins the Sector-Based Export Excellence Award in the Accessories Sector, J. M. Balaji, Vice President, receives the prestigious honor.
Prakash Shah, Chairman of Prashant Group of Industries, was honoured with the ITAMMA Life-Time Achievement Award for his contributions to the industry. During his speech, he emphasized the importance of prioritizing “people rather than profit.” Roop Rashi, Textile Commissioner, Government of India, urged attendees to focus on “ecology rather than economics” to meet global sustainability challenges. She also called for members’ suggestions to improve the sector.
D. Mhatre, Director General (Tech), highlighted the significance of AI in digital transformation and the need for its adoption in tracking product characteristics across the textile supply chain.
In a major move towards sustainability, Tata Power Solar and ITAMMA signed an MoU to promote solar energy in India’s textile sector. ITAMMA’s ongoing initiatives also include the B K Mehta Technology Networking Mission, connecting academia, research and industry for innovative solutions under the “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” goals.
The event also featured insightful presentations on Generative AI, sustainable practices and textile marketing trends, delivered by industry experts.
