India, US Reaffirm Strong Ties Amid Trade Negotiations

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed the strength of India-US relations, expressing confidence that ongoing trade talks will unlock new opportunities for both economies.
Responding to a post by US President Donald Trump on X, Modi said India and the US are “close friends and natural partners” and emphasized that both sides are working to conclude discussions at the earliest.
“India and the US are close friends and natural partners. I am confident that our trade negotiations will pave the way for unlocking the limitless potential of the India-US partnership. Our teams are working to conclude these discussions at the earliest,” Modi stated.
Earlier, Trump announced that the two countries are continuing negotiations to address trade barriers, adding that he looks forward to speaking with Modi in the coming weeks. “I feel certain that there will be no difficulty in coming to a successful conclusion for both of our Great Countries,” Trump posted.
The renewed momentum in trade discussions comes as both governments seek to strengthen economic cooperation and deepen their strategic partnership.
