Indian Textile & Apparel Exports Expand 10.4% In October

India’s exports of textile and garments in October this year posted a growth of 10.44 percent over the same month of previous year.

According to data of Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), shipments of textiles in October 2023 rose massively by 24.29 percent over October 2022, while apparel exports fell 8.08 percent.

Cumulative exports of textiles and garments during the first seven months of fiscal 2024 ending October 2023 dropped 6.67 per cent as compared to the same months of previous fiscal.

Between April and October 2023, textile exports declined slightly by 0.41 per cent as against April to October of 2022

Clothing shipments in the reporting period slipped higher at 14.58 percent as compared to months between April and October 2022.
