Indian Textile & Garment Exports Post 12.49% Growth In Feb

Indian exports of textiles and apparels in February 2024 recorded a growth of 12.49 percent over the same month of earlier year.

“Of overall exports in February, textile exports rose 19.54 percent, while garment exports grew at 4.88 percent, both over February 2023,” data from Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) showed.

Overseas shipments of textiles and clothing during the eleven months to fiscal ending March 31, 2024 fell 4.25 percent as against the same months of previous fiscal.

However, textiles exports posted a modest growth of 1.75 percent year over year in the April to February months, while decline in clothing exports was higher at 11.42 percent.
