Intertextile Shanghai 2025 To Showcase Future Of Home Textiles

Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition 2025, Asia’s premier home textile trade fair, is set to return from 20–22 August 2025 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai with a reimagined fringe programme aimed at reshaping the future of home furnishings.
Organized by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, and the China Home Textile Association (CHTA), the event will feature a comprehensive schedule of forums, seminars, panel discussions, product launches, and interactive sessions. The fringe programme has been redesigned with a sector-focused approach, built around four key themes: NextGen, Palette, Connector, and Go-Green.
Under the “NextGen” theme, the Future & Textile Zone led by circular textile expert Anja Bisgaard Gaede, will highlight over 20 sustainable and bio-based materials, hands-on product demos, AI-powered design tools, and an interactive “Textile Hunt” game.
The “Palette” theme will showcase creativity and design trends through guided tours and seminars by renowned interior designers including Denmark’s Camilla Rudnicki and Japan’s Akiyuki Sasaki, offering insights into textile aesthetics and culturally inspired interior solutions.
The “Connector” theme will promote international cooperation and market insights, featuring speakers from Colombia, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. Key figures such as Juan Fernando Loaiza (Inexmoda), Shokhrukh Kayumov (TextileFinds.com) and Vivie Wei (Dezan Shira & Associates) will offer strategic perspectives on global home textile opportunities. In addition, the “Home Textiles x Interior Decoration” summit will gather industry leaders to explore innovation, aging-adaptation in design, and evolving Gen Z preferences.
Sustainability will take center stage in the “Go-Green” theme, with panels led by Professor Yuen from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University discussing sustainable business models and industry branding. Key exhibitors such as Patternsfrom Agency (Finland) and Fu-tex (Hong Kong) Co. Ltd. will present innovations in green manufacturing and blackout fabric technology.
Complementing the main themes, the event will also host the 31st Intertextile Home Textile Design Carnival, the Designer’s Pick Award Ceremony, the 11th Home Furniture & Textile Business Matching programme, and the 2026/27 China Home Textile Trend Area.
With its renewed focus on collaboration, creativity, and sustainability, the fringe programme promises to offer visitors deep industry insights, practical solutions, and future-forward inspiration for the global home textiles sector.
