Iranian Textile & Garment Exports Up 6% In H1FY’24

Iranian exports of textiles and clothing increased 6 percent year on year to US $368 million in the first six months of the Iranian calendar year ending September 22, 2023.

Iran exported textiles and garments totaling to $345 million in the comparable period of the pervious Iranian calendar year.

This was informed by Mohsen Gorji, Director General of Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Textiles & Garments at a press conference.

When considering imports of textile raw materials as well as textiles and apparels, they increased five percent in value and 15 percent by weight in the months under review, both from a year ago period.

Iran imported 40,000 tons of raw cotton fibers in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year, as against 30,000 tons or up 25 percent over similar months of the earlier year.
