ISFMA Hosts Successful Two-Day Yarn Expo

The Ichalkaranji Shuttleless Fabrics Manufacturers Association (ISFMA) successfully hosted Yarn Expo 2025 at Panchratna Hall, Ichalkaranji, drawing approximately 1,800 visitors over the two-day event. Held on September 11–12, the expo featured active participation from nearly 50 companies, with Lenzing as the platinum sponsor and Aditya Birla Group’s Grasim Industries and Trident Industries as silver sponsors.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Manmohan Singh, CEO of Grasim Industries and Abhay Shukla, CEO of Trident Industries. Participating companies invested significantly in exhibitions, presentations and stall displays to showcase innovative yarn and fibre solutions.
The first day included sessions on Lenzing’s fibres, yarns and handling best practices, as well as insights into innovative credit insurance solutions for traders. On the second day, distinguished visitors such as MP Dhairyashil Mane, former Textile Minister Prakash Anna Awade, GST Commissioner Gorse (IRS), Kolhapur District SP Yogesh Kumar Gupta, and Sanjay Ghodawat of Star Group attended the expo.
Day two sessions focused on solar energy system installations and government subsidy programmes, led by Arun Jalan of Nexio Energy and moderated by Sudesh Biyani. The second session addressed stretch woven fabrics, with guidance from Dinesh Keswani of Creora Spandex and moderation by Mukesh Totla.
Yarn mills expressed strong satisfaction with the event’s organization, while exhibitors reported active engagement with quality visitors and serious buyers. Booths saw high traffic and productive discussions, generating genuine leads for follow-up business. Traders and textile entrepreneurs leveraged the expo to explore new fibres and yarn types, with direct interactions expected to facilitate smoother operations, adoption of innovations and expansion of textile production capabilities.
The expo also highlighted emerging trends in renewable energy adoption and specialty yarn applications, positioning Yarn Expo 2025 as a critical platform for driving market growth, technological awareness, and supply chain efficiency in the regional textile industry.
