ITMA 2027 Stand Space Application Opens

Stand space application is now open for ITMA 2027, the world’s largest textile and garment technology exhibition, which will be held at Messegelände Hannover, Germany, from 16–22 September 2027.
With the theme “Co-creating the Future of Textiles,” the seven-day event will bring together global leaders and innovators to showcase technologies, forge partnerships, and drive industry growth.
Following the success of ITMA 2023 in Milan, exhibitors are encouraged to secure their participation early at what is widely regarded as the “Olympics of textile machinery exhibitions.” The 2027 edition is expected to cover 200,000 square metres and feature more than 1,500 exhibitors.
Alex Zucchi, President of CEMATEX, owner of ITMA said, “In 2027, ITMA returns to Hanover after 36 years. As we evolve from Industry 4.0 to 5.0, we’re not just automating, we’re humanising technology. Together, we’ll accelerate the shift towards a circular economy built on collaboration, innovation and regeneration.”
Dr. Janpeter Horn, Chairperson of VDMA Textile Machinery Association added, “We expect a strong presence of VDMA companies. Supported by Hanover’s world-class exhibition infrastructure, ITMA 2027 will be an excellent platform to launch innovations in efficiency, automation, digitalisation and sustainability.”
CEMATEX Grants
To support participation, CEMATEX will offer:
- A 50% grant for research and educational institutions exhibiting in the Research & Innovation sector.
- Full sponsorship for up to 20 start-ups with innovative products and services, following the success of the Start-Up Valley launched at ITMA 2023.
At the previous edition in Milan, Swedish cellulose fibre producer TreeToTextile highlighted the value of the programme. Ida Alnemo, Head of Application & Sustainability said, “ITMA has been a great platform for collaboration needed to scale breakthrough innovations like ours, to make a positive change in the textile industry.”
