IVF And India ITME Society Honours S. P. Verma On His Retirement
The International Vaish Federation (IVF), Mumbai, in collaboration with the India ITME Society, organized a special event to honour S.P. Verma, Additional Textile Commissioner of India, on the occasion of his retirement. The event, held at the ITME Centre, was a heartfelt farewell, recognizing Verma’s significant contributions to the textile industry.
The ceremony was graced by prominent figures in the industry, including Textile Commissioner Rooprashi Mahapatra, who served as the Chief Guest, and Sai Ganesh of Zydex Group, the Guest of Honour. The keynote address was delivered by Ulhas Nimkar, Chairman of NimkarTek and Past President of SDC-UK, who began his speech with a tribute to S.P. Verma: “This is all to honour you for all the fantastic work you have done over the years for the textile industry. We truly appreciate that,” said Nimkar, setting a tone of deep respect and gratitude.
The event featured several esteemed guests and speakers who shared their insights on the industry, working ideologies and the importance of education in textile development. Each speaker contributed to the discussion, offering valuable perspectives on the future of the textile sector.
Following the felicitation, S.P. Verma took the stage to share his experiences and reflections from his distinguished career. He praised the government for establishing various departments to support the industry’s growth and urged industry professionals to actively engage with these bureaus.
