Japanese Imports Of Apparel Surge 17.4% In September 2023
Japanese imports of apparel in September 2023 climbed to US $2.63 billion, a surge of 17.4 percent over its previous month, but fell 3.95 percent volume wise.
In the period between January and September this year, garment imports from Japan rose slower at 4.08 percent to $16.66 billion over the comparable months of the previous year.
Clothing shipments from its biggest source China, dropped 3.38 percent year on year to $8.70 billion, but grew 13.2 percent to reach $2.82 billion for garment imports from Vietnam.
