Kitex Setting Up Yarn To Garments Facility in Telangana

Kerala based and one of the biggest global producers of baby garments, Kitex Garments has plans to start a yarn to garment manufacturing facility in Kakatiya Mega Textiles Park (KMTP) in Telangana state.

This was announced following several meetings with Telangana Industries Minister KTR Rama Rao and officials of the state Industries Department.

The Sabu Joseph led company is setting up vertically integrated textile facilities, which includes spinning, weaving, fabric processing and a garment manufacturing unit.

At full capacity, Kitex would be providing direct employment to 22,000 people and 18,000 indirectly.

In the beginning of discussions with the state government, Kitex signed an agreement to invest Rs 2,400 crore. But later it increased the figure to Rs 3,200 crore.
